About Known Aviation
General aviation runs on records: logbooks, registrations, inspections, endorsements. Today they live on paper, in a dozen apps and in people's heads, and they rarely follow the airplane or the pilot. We're building one connected record that does.
Our mission
Make every aircraft and every pilot's history known: accurate, sourced and easy to carry from one owner, school or club to the next. We started with KnownTail, a public record for every US-registered aircraft, and we're building the rest of the family on the same records.
What we hold to
The owner is in control
An airplane's owner decides what shows about it; a pilot decides who sees their logbook. Nothing private goes public without your say-so.
Every fact cites its source
Each fact shows where it came from and when: the FAA registry, an NTSB report, a logbook entry or an owner. Estimates and AI text are labeled.
